Negative Capability: Theory and Practice in the Poetry of John Keats

As indicated by the title, this research deals with the Negative capability, the most argumentative theory of the young romantic poet, John Keats (1795-1821) whose status in the modern age seems to be much higher than that of his own time.1This study sheds light on the literal and the literary meaning of the term, its relation to drama, and implication in poetry with reference to some of Keats‟s famous odes.
