The research deals with one of the most important theories that explain rise of state. We tried to investigate the basis on which it was constructed ie the ethical motive. We highlighted rapidly the first part of Hobbes’s theory, which was using “power” factor for establishing state. Social contract theory could be considered as a revolution against “theocratic theory”, theory of “holy right” which represented top tyranny that time. In this research, we stressed on very important matter, that is social contract theory of Hobbes was based on ethical basis. That when people became fed up with fight and conflict in state of nature, they realized that war was an evil from which they should depart, then they contracted on giving up their rights and authorizing one person or more to administrate authority for spreading security and peace among them.
