Russia is considered one of the most influential state in the current international course of events, it’s the world ninth of the largest economy , the population reached 140 million, a major producer and exporter of oil and gas. In 2014 Russia intervened in the affairs of Ukraine and held a referendum over the annexation of Crimea to it in 2015, this act effects the US and EU countries who were aiming to involve Ukraine to the economic partnership with the European unio‎n in addition engaged to NATO, this factors prompting the western states to impose economic sanctions on Russia in order to force Vladimir Putin to modify Russia’s behavior towards Ukraine and the West generally.This research attempting to demonstrate the hypothesis that escalation the negative effects of the imposition US economic sanctions and European on Russia, this act will lead to decline the performance of the Russian economy indicators in the majority of the important sectors, however the form that makes Putin offers concessions to the West regarding the Crimea to Ukraine Russia is more than capable of carrying the burden of sanctions, making the duration of solving the problem of the Crimean in long term.The main aim of this research to find out Western sanctions, its reasons causes and its implications as well , the most important consequences that reveal on Russian economic sectors and then draw the futuristic scenes that make up the options in front of Russia to deal with the West in general about the issue of Ukraine.
