The study aims to discuss the Saudi position about the most pivotal events that the Sultanate of Oman underwent in 1950s. The study first dealt with the Saudi intervention in Oman, Namely in al- Buraimi region in 1952. It also shed light on the reaction of the sultan, the Imam, and British Government to that intervention. The study also focused on the Saudi policy towards the conflicting parties: the Imamate and the Sultanate. It also pointed out the kind of assistance that was provided by the Saudis to the Imam and his followers as well as many Omanis. The Saudi Government exerted a lot of effort, both at home and abroad, to back the Imamate. Despite Saudi support, the Imamate could not continue as an authority in Oman. Actually the Sultan fought the Saudi efforts and polices and enjoyed the British Government's support.
