In this paper the one-dimensional modeling of asphaltene deposition in porous media is carried out by using the
momentum and mass conservation equations for system containing oil and asphaltene. The derived equations are
solved numerically using finite difference method. The experimental data of natural gas flooding in an oilsaturated
porous medium are simulated via this model. Here the porous media is a high pressure-high
temperature cylinder packed by reservoir rock (sandstone and limestone) gravels. In this work the permeability
and porosity changes of porous medium due to asphaltene deposition are investigated. The modeling results are
in a good agreement with experimental data.
