Abstract- A growing interest has been shown in developing aluminum metal matrix composites (Al MMCs) due to their
unique properties such as lightweight, high strength, etc. In the present work, in order to processing Al/Mg/Ti
composite, Al, Ti, and Mg strips were sandwiched as alternate layers and processed via accumulative roll bonding
(ARB) at 150C to 5 passes. Microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of composite were studied by using
optical, scanning electron microscopes, tensile test measurements. Results show that reinforcement material become
more dispersive with progressive increase of imposed strain. With progressive of ARB cycle, tensile strength of
composite was increased due to improvement of joint quality in interface region, and decreasing of micro cracks. By
increasing the initial thickness of Al strips, strength composite was increased whereas increasing plastic region of
cracks. Maximum ultimate tensile strength of composites was reached to 615 MPa after imposing four ARB passes.
