AbstractThe dairy industry wastewater has high biological oxygen demand(BOD) and high chemical oxygen demand(COD). In this study, membrane bioreactor(MBR) was used for the treatment dairy industry wastewater. Since two diffuser,submerged membrane modul and intermittent suction method were adpted to system. COD removal was high(95-96%) and SS(suspended solid) was obtained by membrane separation. Nitrogen removal was relatively low(69-70%) and Phosohorus removal was low(37-38%) because of the limit of the biological process. A removal rate was reached 70%.
