Location selection of industrial units is very important task in industrial engineering. Each
industrial unit under construction has a set of location features. These features do not have equal
priority and importance. Also in many cases for making decision, accurate information about attributes
of location is not available. Considering a set of characteristics and their importance and to cover the
above problem, this paper proposes a new model to select the best location from the possible
alternatives utilizing combination of function principle, Grade Mean Integration Representation
(GMIR) Method, ranking of fuzzy numbers and weighted fuzzy distance methods. At the end of the
paper, a numerical example is provided for illustrating the application of the proposed model
