Fuel cells are devices in which an electrochemical reaction is used to generate electricity. At present,
the ever-increasing use of energy, and especially of fossil fuels, is a major source of air pollution. As a
result, there is a search for alternatives to fossil fuels, and fuel cells have attracted much attention due to
their minimal pollutant emissions. Fuel cells are currently used in a wide range of portable, stationary and
transport applications. Electrocatalytic processes involving the oxidation of organic compounds are of
great interest in fuel cells. One of the problems still unsolved, is the slow kinetics of oxidation organic
compounds on the fuel cellʹs anode, which also presents a serious impediment to the use of
electrochemical methods based on the direct oxidation of this molecule for fuel cells. Therefore using
electrocatalyst is essential. Hydrogen is very convectional fuel for fuel cells. But this is too much
expensive and using of hydrogen may be difficult. Its need a height pressure gas cylinder and a suitable
regulator for hydrogen. Due to these problems, using another fuel is necessary Often platinum is used as
electrocatalyst. In this context several studies are accomplished, that we present two of them in here.
