In this paper, the parameters of Mamdani-type fuzzy
logic controller are tuned using a particle swarm optimization.
The designated controller is compared to two PID controller
design methods by applying them to delayed plant and highorder
plant, separately. The simulations show the dominancy of
optimized fuzzy logic controller in different performance indices.
