بخش مهمي از جمعيت گنجشك سانان زيستگاه هاي خشك و كوهپايه اي نواحي پالئاركتيك و نئاركتيك را، چكچك ها (جنس Oenanthe ) تشكيل داده اند. روابط خويشاوندي درون اين جنس هنوز به طور كامل روشن نشده است. از جمله مشكلات آرايه- شناختي در اين جنس وجود همتافت گونه ها است. يكي از بحث برانگيزترين گونه هاي همتافت در جنس چكچك، چكچك هاي شمالي (Oenanthe oenanthe) مي باشد. وضعيت آرايه شناختي اين گونه هنوز مورد بحث و بررسي است. اين گونه شامل چهار زيرگونه O. o. oenanthe, O. o. libanotica, O. o. leucorhoa و O. o. seebohmi در نيمكره شمالي زمين مي باشد. بسياري از محققان آرايه O. o. seebohmi را به عنوان يك گونه ابتدايي، درحاليكه برخي ديگر، آن را تنها يك نژاد جغرافيايي و بسياري آن را يك گونه مستقل تعريف مي كنند. وضعيت آرايه شناختي همتافت گونه چكچك شمالي، با استفاده از ژن ميتوكندريايي 16srRNA بين زيرگونه هاي اين همتافت گونه انجام شد. تحليل هاي حداكثر احتمال (Maximum likelihood) و استنباط بيشين (Bayesian) بر روي داده هاي مولكولي حاكي از حداقل ميزان واگرايي 81 % ميان زيرگونه O. o. seebohmi با ساير زيرگونه هاي گونه ي چكچك شمالي بود. با توجه به اين ميزان واگرايي اندك، زيرگونه O. o. seebohmi به عنوان عضوي از گونه O.oenanthe در نظر گرفته مي شود. البته مطالعات تكميلي با استفاده از ماركرهاي هسته اي مي تواند كامل كننده اين مطالعه باشد.

Genus Oenanthe is one of the most passerine founa in the dry and mountainous habitates in the Palaearctic and Nearctic regions. The phylogentic relationship within the genus Oenanthe (wheatears) is still under debate. One of the main unsolved complex species within this genus is Oenanthe oenanthe (Northern wheatear). The taxonomy of the Northern Wheatear is also a subject of most controversy. This species comprises of four subspecies; O. o. seebohmi, O. o. libanotica, O. o. leucorhoa, O. o. oenanthe in northern hemisphere. Some researchers regarded O. o. seebohmi as an incipient species, while many upgrated this taxon as a full species but, others assumed it as just a geographical race. In order to shed light on the taxonomy of the northern wheatear complex use of molecular marker 16srRNA, the four subspecies were sequenced and analysed. The molecular phylogenetic analyses performed using Maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference. Bayesian inference with 81% posterior probability do not support separation of O. o. seebohmi as a full taxon and it is still as a member of O. oenanthe species. Our results coud be confirmed and completed with the molecular markers particulary nuclear gene
