Development of Modern Cadastral Systems on the Web

Today traditional cadastral systems are looking to the World Wide Web as a tool that will better serves the users of land information. This paper outlines the developments of modern cadastral systems and in particular, online cadastral systems and the increasing use of the World Wide Web to enhance access to geospatial cadastral data and services. Cadastre is at the core of the land administration systems providing spatial integrity and unique land parcel identification in support of security of tenure and effective land market. Cadastre provides land parcel boundaries and quality of rights responsibilities and restrictions. This paper will discuss the role that cadastre play in land administration systems and explores how the cadastre supports spatial enable government to reach sustainable development goals, also the realization of a cadastre concept through the use of the World Wide Web, distributed databases and Map Servers are considered. In this research, a web based cadastre has been implemented that enables users to view and query cadastral parcels for their associated non-spatial information. Resulting issues such as data, spatial processing, data delivery and client have been addressed
