Today’s technology enables to capture and process geo-data in its full spatial (,D) dimensions and to disseminate the data in massive amount through the internet over the entire globe with the speed of light. One may state that the future for the geomatics professional is bright. This paper aims at demonstrating the many trends and developments going on in the geomatics profession. In particular we will have a closer view on Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS), Global Navigation Satellites Systems, Airborne Lidar, Photogrammetry, Satellite Images, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Earth Viewers, Land Administration, ,D Cadastres, Machine Control Systems and Geosensor Networks
