Spectral Tau method based on Chebyshev operational matrix for solving three-term fractional differential equations

In this paper, we apply spectral tau method for numerical solution of general three-term fractional differential equations (FDEs). The shifted Chebyshev operational of fractional derivatives is used. The main characteristic behind this method is that it reduces such problems to those of solving a system of algebraic equations which greatly simplifying the problem. Through several numerical examples, we derive exact solution for a class of FDEs.
