رشد فزاينده ارتباطات اجتماعي در گستره جهاني، زمينه مناسبي را براي همكاري هاي علمي بين المللي فراهم آورده است. ساختارشناسي علم نيز، نشان از روابط بين ايده هاي علمي و ساختار اجتماعي است و به طور خاص همكاري هاي علمي در ميان دانشمندان بخش مهمي از ساختار اجتماعي علم است، اين همكاري ها، مي توانند نقش بسزايي در ارتقاي كمي و كيفي توليدات علمي ايفا كنند. بنابراين، همكاري به عنوان جنبه خاص و حياتي از تحقيقات علمي، يكي از ويژگي هاي اصلي نظام پژوهشي است كه به سرعت در حال رشد است و به عنوان راهكاري مناسب براي كسب تجربه هاي نوين در زمينه هاي گوناگون علمي مورد توجه بسياري از كشورهاي جهان به ويژه كشورهاي توسعه يافته است. اين همكاري ها، شالوده اصلي رشد و توسعه علمي هر كشور محسوب مي شود. حجم زياد پژوهش ها و تحقيقاتي كه در دهه هاي اخير با رويكردهاي مختلف در حوزه همكاري علمي مورد بررسي قرار گرفته است، نيز خود نشانگر ضرورت و نماز جوامع علمي به اهميت دادن به همكاري هاي علمي است. اگرچه، پژوهش در زمينه همكاري هاي علمي در دهه هاي گذشته در حال افزايش مي باشد، اما همچنان چالش هاي زيادي در زمينه همكاري هاي علمي - پژوهشي، باقي مانده است كه مي تواند مورد توجه قرار گيرد. يكي از چالش هاي اساسي در اين حوزه، عدم فهم مشترك از مفهوم همكاري هاي علمي - پژوهشي در سطوح مختلف، ابعاد و ويژگي هاي آن است كه متخصصان علمستجي نيز در مطالعات خود، به آن اشاره كرده اند. بر اين اساس، هدف اين پژوهش، بررسي چالش ها، ضرورت ها و ابعاد مفهوم همكاري هاي علمي- پژوهشي در سطح بين المللي و چالش هاي اندازه گيري آن مي باشد. روش پژوهش بررسي هاي ميداني موجود و مرور مباني نظري پژوهش مي باشد. يافته هاي اين پژوهش مي تواند در جهت توسعه نظام آموزش عالي، مورد استفاده سياست گذاران آموزش و پژوهش و دست اندر كاران نظام آموزش عالي بين المللي قرار گيرد.

Increasing development of social communication in the global arena, has provided appropriate context for international scientific collaborations. The cognitive structure of science consists of relationships between scientific ideas, and the social structure. and in particular scientific collaborations among scientists are a particularly important part of the collaborative social structure of science.Thus collaborationis one of the main features of the research system, which is growing quickly as a critical aspect of scientific researchs, and as appropriate solution for obtain new experiences in various areas of scientific interest in many countries, especially developed countries.high volume of research in recent decades, have been studied with various approaches in the field of scientific collaboration. Also indicates the necessity of society to the importance of scientific collaboration however, research is increasing in the past decades on scientific collaboration. But still many challenges in the field of collaboration in science and reasersh, that remains to be considered. One of the main challenges in this area, is the lack of a common understanding of the concept of scientific- reasersh collaborations at various levels, dimensions and characteristics, the scientometricsexperts have pointed out in their studies accordingly, the aim of this study was investigating the challenges, necessities and, dimensions concept of scientificreasersh collaborations at international level, and measurement challenges. Method of reaserch was field studies and review of the theoretical research. The results of this research can, used by policy makers of teaching and research and stakeholders in higher education international in order to development the higher education system.
