در پي هشدارهاي ناشي از بحران انرژي، و از سويي ديگر بالا بودن هزينه سرمايهگذاري و دوره بازگشت سرمايه طولاني در پروژههاي بهينه سازي مصرف انرژي ساختمانها و رشد روز افزون مصرف انرژي در سالهاي اخير باعث تلاش مهندسان براي كاهش مصرف انرژي شده است. طي 50 سال اخير بيش از صدها برنامه شبيه سازي مرتبط با كاهش انرژي در ساختمان مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است. متخصصين مربوطه در حوزههاي مرتبط با معماري استفاده از ابزارهاي مهم در بهينه سازي مصرف انرژي را مدنظر قرار خواهند داد، ابزارهاي موثر در اين زمينه، شبيه سازي رايانهاي مصرف انرژي است. از طرف ديگر به دليل بالا بودن ضريب خطاي نرم افزارها، برنامه ريزي براي بهينه سازي مصرف انرژي در ساختمان را با مشكل مواجه خواهد كرد. هدف ازاين مقاله بازبيني و اعتبارسنجي اين نرم افزارها است. به اين منظور در اين پژوهش ابتدا اعتبارسنجي نرم افزارهاي شبيه سازي انرژي و حوزهي كار كردي آن و مشخصات نرم افزارهاي شبيه سازي مصرف انرژي بررسي شده و سپس تعدادي از اين نرم افزارها براي آشنايي بيشتر معرفي و نرم افزارهاي مذكور از نظر كارايي در حضور معماري با يكديگر مقايسه و ابزار منتخب با توجه به نياز جاري كشور در بهينه سازي مصرف انرژي، ارائه خواهد شد.
