Edification can accomplish its ultimate goal of satisfaction-packed quality life
only when it travels abroad. The objective of this strategic postmodern article is to
develop and delineate interrelations of tourism and international higher education
(IHE) on science-founded economy and social wealth. The research method
involved both inductive and deductive reasonings in linking science and IHE to
economy directly and indirectly as well as independently and interactively.
Tourism science and industry involve architecture, urban planning,
bioenvironment, industrial development capacities, and their multidisciplinary
interrelations. Accordingly, any effort to invest on tourism for IHE advancement
needs to take into account these research areas. Tourism is globally considered a
reality that helps target, collect, and establish ‘focus’ on particular natural, urban,
social, cultural, and industrial uniqueness and attractiveness. Thus, tourism is
itself viewed as an integrated science the advancement of which requires effective
education. As a result, tourism is grown by education and, in turn, helps cultivate
science education grow in any particular area. This tourism-driven cascade can
help attract interest on any region with its own touristic capacities. Consequently,
human interactions will expand that could in turn fuel investments on science
education, thereby fostering IHE proficiencies. Such touristic attractions ought to
be identified, highlighted, and invested on to permit IHE aptitudes extend
harmonically. The versatile tourism opportunities across the country offer highly
prestigious capacities to establish world-class higher education standards to
motivate and magnetize foreign resources (e.g., research visitors, graduate
students and postdocs, exchange science delegates, and international fundingagencies) toward various regions of the country. Ultimately, scientific and
industrial interactions will fuel national economy through exporting and
exchanging domestic IHE products with the fascinated world. To sum, tourism
serves IHE with highest capacities to boost science-founded national economy.
