Status of cultural identity in the internationalization of higher education

بدون شك مسئله جهاني شدن، تاثير شگرفي بر تمام ابعاد زندگي افراد در جوامع مختلف گذارده و تبعا حوزه ي آموزش و پرورش و آموزش عالي نيز از اين تاثير مستثني نبوده است. جهاني شدن، در انديشه هاي تربيتي باعث طرح مباحث و الگوهاي جديدي در آموزش بوده است. رويكرد بين المللي كردن آموزش عالي، يكي از مباحثي است كه در سايه جهاني شدن مورد توجه برنامه ريزان و سياست گذاران اين حوزه قرار گرفته است. بين المللي كردن آموزش عالي را مي توان در يك جمله «فرايند تلفيق بعد بين المللي، بين فرهنگي جهاني در اهداف، كاركردها با نحوه ارائه آموزش يك موسسه دانست (نايت 2004) در يك طبقه بندي كلي معمولا بين المللي كردن آموزش عالي با اهداف سياسي، اقتصادي، دانشگاهي (تبادل اطلاعات علمي و دانش و فرهنگي انجام مي گيرد. مطالعات صورت گرفته نشان مي دهد كه توجه بيشتر پژوهشگران در بررسي بين المللي كردن دانشگاهها به ابعاد سياسي و اقتصادي و تبادل اطلاعات علمي بوده است و توجه به بعد فرهنگي تا حد زيادي مهجور مانده است. اين مقاله با هدف كلي بحث در بعد فرهنگي بين المللي كردن آموزش در ايران و تبيين جايگاه هويت ايراني- اسلامي دانشگاه ها در اين روند، به نگارش در آمده است. اين مقاله مطالعه اي مروري است براي كسب اطلاعات از روش مطالعه كتابخانه اي و گردآوري اطلاعات پژوهش هاي صورت گرفته و كتب به تاليف در آمده بهره گرفته شده است. براي رسيدن به هدف نهايي در ابتدا مفاهيم جهاني شدن، بين المللي كردن آموزش عالي و هويت فرهنگي مذهبي بيان گرديده و سپس به بحث در زمينه جايگاه فرهنگي ايران و هويت ايراني اسلامي دانشگاه ها و توجه به اين امر پرداخته خواهد شد. مطالعه صورت گرفته نشان مي دهد در روند بين المللي كردن آموزش عالي در ايران در كنار توجه به ابعاد اقتصادي و سياسي و بهره مندي از مزاياي احتمالي آن، توجه به حفظ هويت فرهنگي ايراني – اسلامي دانشگاه ها و همچنين بستر سازي مناسب در زمينه اشاعه فرهنگ غني ايراني – اسلامي و جلوگيري از بحران هويت ملي بيش از پيش بايد مورد توجه قرار گيرد.

There is no doubt that the issue of globalization, made a huge impact on all aspects of people's lives in different societies, and subsequently the field of education and higher education is not exempt from this influence. Globalization, in educational ideas has led to a new design patterns in education. The Approach of "Internationalization of higher education" is one of the issues, in the light of globalization, considered by planners and policy makers in this area. Internationalization of higher education can be identified “a process of integrating the international, intercultural or global in objectives, functions or the way of delivery of education in an institution (Knight, 2004). In a general classification, internationalization of higher education is usually carried out with political, economic, academic (scientific andknowledge information exchange) and cultural purposes. Studies show that most researchers has addressed to examining the political and economic dimensions and exchange of scientific information in internationalizing the universities. and the cultural dimension has largely been obsolete. The main objective of this paper is to study the cultural dimension in internationalizing education and determining the position of Iranian - Islamic identity of universities in the process. This article is a review study; library research has been used to gather information of the conducted studies. Achieving the ultimate goal, globalization, the internationalization of higher education and cultural identity are firstly identified. and then the status of Iranian cultureand Iranian- Islamic identity of universities will be addressed. The study shows that in the process of internationalization of higher education in addition to addressing economic and political dimensions and its potential benefits, Preserving the national Iran - Islamic identity of Universities and also suitable substrate in Iranian - Islamic rich culture and preventing national identity crisis should be further considered .
