In this paper, we propose a semi-discrete method for solving the time fractional diusion equation with Caputo time
fractional derivative coupled via the rational Pade approximation. We prove that the proposed scheme is unconditionally stable by us- ing the matrix analysis method. A numerical example is presented to conrm the conclusions
