The Relationship between Spiritual Intelligence and Translators Burnout in Iranian Contexts

The study aimed to investigate the relationship between translators spiritual intelligence and their level of burnout in Iranian contexts. To this end, quantitative method of gathering data was used. 120 translators working at Iranian contexts participated in this study. They were asked to complete Maslach Burnout Inventory-Educators Survey and King Spiritual Intelligence Scale. Collected data were analyzed with the aid of correlation and regression statistical methods. The results of the study indicated a significant relationship between spiritual intelligence and burnout among translators working at Iranian contexts. However, four dimensions of spiritual intelligence by King (2008), namely, aspects of critical existential thinking, personal meaning production, transcendental awareness, and conscious state expansion are being discussed in this study, and the theoretical implications for further were made in this study
