صنعت گردشگري با اشتغال زايي مستقيم و غيرمستقيم و در نتيجه، كسب درآمد براي مقصدهاي گردشگري، نقش مهمي در اقتصاد منطقه دارد. براي دستيابي به اين درآمد، ابتدا بايد گردشگر جذب شود و به منظور برخورداري از منافع حاصل از گردشگري، اولويت گردشگران در انتخاب مقصدهاي گردشگري بررسي شود. بر اساس نتايج بدست آمده، از بين 17 مزيت عامل قرار گرفتن مسجد سنگي به عنوان بزرگترين اثر تاريخي دست كند كشور در آستانه ثبت جهاني با 2600 سال قدمت، بيشترين تاثير و عامل زمينه هاي كسب معنويت كمترين تاثير را دارد. بعد از مسجد سنگي، تنها مسجد چهارضلعي جهان و سپس وجود آرامگاه دحيه كلبي به ترتيب مهمترين مزيت هاي توسعه گردشگري شهرستان داراب هستند. جهت توسعه گردشگري مذهبي شهرستان داراب مي توان با ترميم زير ساخت هاي اين سه اولويت به رونق گردشگري شهرستان و جذب توريست كمك شاياني كرد.
