In this work the nano sized V2O5 was prepared by direct calcination of a vanadium Schiff base complex. The purities of the V2O5/NPs were confirmed by XRD spectroscopic method. The morphology of V2O5/NPs was examined by TEM method. It is revealed that the synthesized V2O5/NPs have a spherical shape with diameter ~35 nm. On the other hand, EDS analysis was used for characterization of V2O5/NPs the presence of V and O elements confirm high purity V2O5/NPs. In the other part of this work, the photo catalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye solution by using the synthesized V2O5 nanoparticles was investigated under visible light irradiation.
