One of the possible approaches regarding the operation of a microgrid is the use of a decentralized approach based on a multi agent system (MAS). Two models are presented for daily operation of a microgrid with the use of MAS in the present article. The agents considered in the first model are less active and the system is mostly operated in a centralized way. While in the second model, agents are more active with one another and the system is completely operated in a decentralized way. Finally, the results obtained from the two models are compared.
