A Spatial Justice Approach To The Analysis Of The Distribution Of Urban Bike Stations: A Case Study Of Isfahan City

The spatial justice in the distribution of urban public services is an important factor for the improvement of the citizen’s quality of life and a sustainable development of the urban environment. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the distribution of urban bike stations from a spatial justice point of view (as a case study of Isfahan city). The research method was descriptive – analytical, but the results were provisioned to aim for application. All of the bike stations in Isfahan city were the statistical population and sample of the present study (a number of 49 stations). The population, space, number of bikes in each region and station’s transmission indexes were applied for spatial analysis of these bike stations. Also, Arc GIS environment system, and other different algorithms were used to provide the necessary maps and perform various calculations respectively. The overall analysis of the status of Isfahan city’s bike stations from spatial justice approach in terms of population, space, number of bikes in each region and station’s transmission indexes showed that these bike stations do not have a suitable distribution.
