The Relationship between Athletic Identity and Sports Participation in People with Physical Disability

This study examined the relationship between athletic identity and sports participation in people with physical disability in Shahrekord. All participants (N=327) completed the Athletic Identity Measurement Scale (AIMS) and Sport Participation Questionnaire. A Significant positive relationship between athletic identity, physical disability, physical disability sports participation (r = 0.346, P 0.05) was obtained. The results showed that both multivariate Rgrysvn disabled athletes including exclusive and negatively affected forecasts eligible for participation in sports activities physical disabilities. Results related to the slope of the regression line (B) indicates that the rate of participation in sports activities with monopoly-oriented (0.396) and the effect of negative affectivity (0.162) are related. Standardized beta coefficient results also show that the most important predictors of participation in sports including exclusive orientation (0.541) positively and negatively affected by a significant (-0.210) significant negative relationships include. In terms of the results of this research can be applied to welfare authorities and relevant agencies to promote sports participation and physical disabilities helped.
