Human life requires moving. One aspect of scientific studies is to investigate and identify the variables affecting motor learning. The aim of this study was to evaluate blocked , random , gradual increasing and decreasing of practice schedule on acquisition and retention of different types of basketball pass ( two hand overhead , two hand chest , single arm with dominate hand) in children . For this purpose, a sample of 60 second ,third and fourth grade elementary female students in Tehran’s 1st district of education were selected, and they were divided into four groups : blocked , random , gradual increasing and decreasing . Participants took pretest in each skills , then they exercised the tasks for five sessions in the acquisition phase , and they practiced 81 trials in each session. Participants conducted 405 training protocol. Immediately after the fifth training session , acquisition test and three days after , retention test were taken. There were no differences between the scores of groups in the acquisition and retention tests. It can be concluded that in children before maturity may be due to the difficulty of contextual interference and lack of overload tolerance, learning basketball skills are not affected by practice with different level of contextual interference.
