DNA molecule is a genetic blueprint or instruction for creating all living things. Inherent capacity for large-scale parallel computations, high storage capability and potential ability to solve majority of combined are just some of the reasons that researchers are interested in this field. DNA computing is applied to solve a group of problems with exponential computational power. Although today hard drive technology has become cheaper, faster and larger than the past, but an uncertain future awaits this technology. In this regard, the DNA can be considered as the next generation of digital information storage media with ultra storage capacity and low maintenance costs. The brief study of DNA molecule structure, it’s computation and storage has been presented in this article.
