Wireless sensor networks are composed up of components called sensor nodes. In this type of network, sensors exchange their information from environment and thus, they pass it to the sink by obtaining a comprehensive knowledge of the environment. These networks are prone to various types of attacks due to the lack of permanent presence and protection of sensors as well as constraints such as low radio range and limited power. In this research, we provide a solution for wormhole attack detection using different levels of network. In the attack, two attacker nodes create a short circuit in the network topology by working together and through a private network. When the routing request is reached one of the attacker nodes, the attacker node sends a request to the second attacker node through their private network. Thus, the packet reaches the destination by only two steps instead of several steps. In this case, this route is surely selected as the shortest route.
