درحال حاضر فضاهاي عمومي درشهرهاي جديد فاقد هويت و سرزندگي ميباشند. امروزه تأمين نشاط و سرزندگي شهري به يكي از دغدغه هاي اصلي نظامهاي مديريت شهري به ويژه دركشورهاي توسعه يافته تبديل شده است. روش اين پژوهش، توصيفي، تحليلي است و يافته هاي پژوهش حاكي از آن است كه چنانچه نسبت به نورپردازي-نه به عنوان يك فعاليت تزييني و جنبي، بلكه به عنوان يك راه كار مؤثر در معماري مجدد شهر ها به هنگام شب- رويكردي علمي و برنامه ريزي شده اتخاذ گردد، مي تواند ضمن بهبود كيفيت زندگي شهري، نقش مهمي در افزايش جذابيت، زمان فعاليت و امنيت شهري براي گردشگران و به تبع آن توسعة گردشگري شهري را نيز به همراه داشته باشد. هدف ازپژوهش حاضر،بررسي معيارهاي تاثيرگذار در ارتقاء سرزندگي فضاهاي عمومي ازطريق نورپردازي فضاي شهري و بررسي آنها در محله پادادشهر اهواز است.
