فضاي سبز مناسب در شهرها افزون بر سلامت جسماني، موجب آرامش روان، بازده كاري بيشتر و كيفيت زندگي بهتر مي شود و اين در حالي است كه در طراحي شهرها به اين جنبه ها توجه چنداني نمي شود. هدف اصلي اين مقاله، بررسي رابطه بين فضاي سبز با رفتار كودكان و تأثيرات فضاي سبز بر رفتار كودكان در مدرسه را شامل مي‌شود. فضاي سبز تاثير بسزايي در بهبود كيفيت آموزشي دارد. دوره ابتدايي به لحاظ رشد، تربيت و تكوين شخصيت كودكان، دوره بسيار مهمي محسوب مي شود. پر واضح است كه ايجاد محيطي متناسب با نيازهاي كودك يكي از مهم ترين مواردي است كه طراحان بايد به آن توجه نمايند. مشاهده شامل ارزيابي فضاي سبز موجود، كيفيت فضايي در فضاهاي باز، در دسترس بودن فضاهاي سبز و قابل استفاده بودن فضاهاي سبز بوده است. براساس مصاحبه انجام شده بين والدين و معلمين در مدرسه احسان به اين نتيجه رسيده ايم كه فضاهاي سبز موجود در اين مدرسه تأثير بسزايي در رشد و يادگيري كودكان دارد. نتيجه گيري: محيط پيرامون بر افراد تأثير به سزايي دارد .در نتيجه فضاهايي متناسب با روحيات كودك بر شكل گيري رفتار آنان تأثير بسزايي دارد و كودكان را به انجام كارهاي مورد علاقه شان ترغيب كنيم.
