چكيده فارسي :
Utilizing seashell waste which is combined mainly by CaCO3 has the potential to be a bio-filler for polymers. In the present study, seashells were ball-milled using two different ball-milling methods resulted in different particle size distributions. Tensile and flexural properties of the seashell-filled epoxy resin were studied and resulted in a higher yield strength, flexural strength, flexural modulus and Young’s modulus. Employing waste seashell as bio-filler for epoxy polymers can be considered as a prospective and valuable method for reducing cost of industrial productions and simultaneously improving mechanical properties of bio-composites.
