Benzofuran exist in various natural and synthesized products. Here, some of benzofuran
derivatives is prepared viaionic liquid. α-halo ketones and different 2-hydroxy aldehydes were
mixed in ionic liquid as solvent at temperature. High yield of product, easy work-up and
ability of ionic liquid recycling are of the most advantages of this study[1].
We synthesis benzofuran derivatives from o-hydroxyacetophenone and salicylaldehydeand
ethyl bromoacetate in K2CO3 and ionic liquid [hmim] Clattemperature
Also, we synthesis benzofuran derivatives from reaction of salicylaldehydes with diverse
phenacyl bromide under the action of potassium carbonate in ionic liquid [hmim]Cl as solvent
at temperature of 100 OC to yield substituted benzofuran derivatives..
