CuI NPs Catalyzed Efficient and Eco-Friendly Synthesis of 3-Amino-1Hchromenes in Aqueous Media

A very simple and environmentally benign approach for the synthesis of some of 3-amino-1aryl-1H-benzo[f]chromene-2-carbonitriles is described using CuI NPs as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst in green media-water. The catalyst was prepared through through a simple precipitation route and well characterized by various techniques such as XRD, and SEM. The mild reaction conditions, reusability of the catalyst, easy work-up and high yields of products make the present protocol sustainable and advantageous compared to conventional methods.
