A review of Task scheduling techniques in cloud computing

Cloud Computing, the long-held dream of computing as a utility, has the potential to transform a large part of the IT industry, making software even more attractive as a service and shaping the way in which hardware is designed and purchased. Cloud computing is in its infancy ,so to reap its full benefits, much research is required across a board array of topics. One of the important research issues which need to be focused for its efficient performance is scheduling. We review the new Task scheduling in cloud computing technologies and indicate the main challenges for their development in future. Our aim is to schedule tasks on VMs in order to achieve higher utilization of VMs with minimal makespan.
