Recently, waste water with heavy metal ions is the one of most environments problems therefore remove these metal is very important. In this study, the polymer hydrogel blends of poly(vinyl alcohol) and chitosan (PVA/CS) with porous structure and large specific space were successfully prepared and its efficacy of Cu (II) adsorption from the aqueous solution was investigated. Tests were conducted to determine the optimum points. The optimum time and the optimum adsorbent were determined 2.5 hour and 0.8g, respectively. the maximum percent of removal was 93.56 at optimal points. The kinetic of adsorption also was studied. It was found that the pseudo-secondorder kinetic, with R2=0.9918, is best described the adsorption process of this adsorbent.
