In this study, the capability of activated charcoal for adsorbing valeric acid from aqueous solution was investigated in a fixed-bed column. The effect of important parameters, such as the flow rate, initial concentration and bed depth was studied. When the flow rate value was 5(ml/min) and initial concentration was 20(g/lit), adsorption capacity reached 262.44(mg/g).
