In this study, removal of valeric acid from aqueous solution was investigated by using activated carbon. The effect of some important parameters such as amount of adsorbent and initial acid concentration were studied in the adsorption experiments. The maximum percentage of removed valeric acid was determined 96.47% for 1.25g of activated carbon at 298K. The optimum amount of adsorbent was determined as 1g. The most common isotherms such as Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms were applied for experimental data. Langmuir isotherm provided the best results with R2 values over than 0.999.
