Nowadays, the dye pollutants are one of the dangerous ingredients in many plants wastewater and industrial centres and Researchers are always looking for new ways to effectively eliminate them. Recently biopolymers due to good compatibility and high rate of degradation, have been under special attention in the field of dye pollutants removal. One of the most famous biopolymers that has been widely used as adsorbent for the removal of dye contaminants is called chitosan which is a cationic and hydrophilic polymer. In this study, the adsorption of dye contaminant Reactive Blue 49 from aqueous solution by using magnetic chitosan nanoparticles have been studied. For this purpose chitosan nanoparticles of chitosan were prepared by applying acetic acid as a crosslinking agent and then were coated on Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles. Furthermore, Synthesized Magnetic chitosan nanoparticles were then characterized by SEM, XRD and VSM. Finally, the effect of the parameters such as pH (at three levels of 3, 5 and 9), dye pollutant concentrations (in three levels of 60, 120 and 150) and adsorbent dosage (in three levels of 2, 4 and 6) were studied on the absorption capacity of the synthesized magnetic chitosan nanoparticles.
