In this work magnetic fish scale (MFS) was used as an adsorbent. The adsorption of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution on MFS was studied. Equilibrium data were fitted to the
Langmuir, Toth and Radke –Prausnitz models. The Toth isotherm was the best model describing the MB adsorption on magnetic fish scale. The Radke – Prausnitz isotherm represented the poorest fit of
experimental data. The monolayer capacity (𝑄𝑚𝑎𝑥) is 68.72 mg g−1 as calculated from Langmuir model at 323 K. The removal of MB by MFS followed pseudo-second order reaction kinetics.
