A new photocatalyst, magnetite Pdnanoparticle supported (4,5-diazafluoren-9-one)- derived palladium chloride was synthesized. The Catalyst was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Energy-dispersive Xray spectroscopy (EDX), and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES). Photocatalytic activity of Catalyst was determined by photodegradation of Crystal violet under visible light irradiation. The results indicated improved photocatalytic efficiency for the complex supported on Fe3O4 nanoparticles compared to the pure complex. To improve photocatalytic activity, the effect of complex loading and optimal synthesis conditions were investigated.
