Liquid crystals (LCs) doped with ferromagnetic nanoparticles show interesting properties due to coupling the molecular orientation of LC with nanoparticle properties. In this work, a twisted chiral nematic cell doped with magnetic nanoparticles is exposed to a laser beam. The effects of the presence of nanoparticles and associated parameters on Frederick
transition threshold field are investigated, using the various anchoring conditions on interfaces. The obtained results could be fundamental to operation of many liquid crystal devices.
