Thermal expansion of nanofluids is different from the bulk fluid. It is shown that fluid adsorption around nanoparticles in a nanofluid, has a determinant role in this discrepancy. Dependency of deviations of experimental data from mixture theory results upon the adsorption of nanofluid molecules on the surface of nanoparticles was investigated and a linear correlation was observed at different conditions.
