The equation of state is an effective tool to study thermodynamic properties and phase behavior of fluids. The aim of present study is to find a new equation of state to calculate pVT properties of polymers in the liquid phase. For this purpose, modifications were done on the parameters of van der Waals equation of state and a new equation of state was proposed. Density of 11 polymers was calculated in the liquid phase by using of the new equation of state. The results were compared with the experimental values. The comparison of predicted densities from the modified equation of state and experimental data shows high ability of this equation in predicting pVT properties of polymers. The overall average absolute deviation percent of the calculated density of 11 polymers obtained by this equation of state is 0.23%.
