Relative permittivity measurements were carried out on binary mixtures of 2,3-butanediol (2,3BD) with 1-hexanol (1HA) over the entire composition range at T = 298.15, 308.2 and 318.2 K and atmospheric pressure. The permittivity deviations were correlated using Redlich–Kister equation for the estimation of the binary coefficients and the standard errors at different temperatures In order to obtain reliable information about intermolecular interactions, the excess parameters such as the excess permittivity and the excess Helmholtz energy were estimated. The obtained data were interpreted in terms of hetero interactions and structure of the investigated binary mixtures. In this work, available mixing rules were applied in order to predict the permittivity data of this polar binary systems with 1-hexanol.
