In this study, Ce-doped ZnO anocomposite was synthesized by precipitation method. The synthesized sample was treated by nitrogen plasma to study of morphology and photocatalytic activity. The XRD results revealed that the treated Ce-doped ZnO showed a hexagonal wurtzite structure and the crystallinity of the prepared nanocatalyst was maintained. The SEM images of untreated and plasma-treated samples demonstrated that the morphology of Cedoped ZnO was changed from spherical particle to rod-like after plasma treatment. The SEM images showed the particle size of treated Ce-doped ZnO is smaller as compared to that of untreated sample. The results demonstrate that the photocatalytic property of the plasma-treated Ce-doped ZnO is higher than that of the untreated Ce-doped ZnO.
