Let 𝑅 be a Noetherian ring and 𝒂 be an ideal of 𝑅. We introduce the functor and 𝑈𝒂(−) on the category of 𝑅-modules. For an 𝑅-module 𝑀 general concerning results on the module 𝐷𝒂(𝑀) and its relationship with local cohomology modules 𝐻𝑎𝑖(𝑀) with be given. Then, whenever 𝑀 is finitely generated under some mild condition we show that 𝐷𝒂(𝑀)≅𝑈𝒂(𝑀), which results in the finiteness of the set 𝐴𝑠𝑠𝑅(𝐷𝒂(𝑀)). Finally, a criteria under which the isomorphism 𝑀≅𝐷𝒂(𝑀) holds will be investigated.
