In this study, combustion of diesel spray has been modeled by partially stirred reactor(PaSR) model. Combustion in diesel spray contains three main steps which are ignition delay, premixed combustion and mixing-controlled combustion. Ignition delay is originated from physical delay and chemical delay. Mixing of fuel and air and other phenomena that related to spray give rise to physical delay. Chemical delay is caused by propagation of chain reactions. In this article, effect of turbulence on ignition delay is studied. It is concluded that effect of turbulence on ignition delay and flame lift-off height is not critical if a detailed is used.
