Carbon nanotubes (CNT) and coiled carbon nanotube (CCNT) have exceptional properties and improve mechanical properties of nanocomposites. In this paper the multi-scale model by ABAQUS is developed, Representative volume element (RVE) with random dispersion of nano fillers generates and RVE based finite element analysis is proposed to predict the elastic properties of CCNT nanocomposites and obtain a stress - strain curve for nanocomposites. Influence of volume fraction (VF) and helix angle, on overall stress-strain curve response have been investigated. Results show when volume fraction and helix angle increase the strength of nanocomposites is enhanced and stress- strain curve is improved.
