This paper is prepared to explore the frequency analysis of a functionally graded material (FGM) micro-beam subjected to a subtangential force. The Euler-Bernoulli beam model and the modified strain gradient theory (MSGT) is used to take size effects into account in terms of three length scale parameters. However, the MSGT includes modified couple stress theory (MCST) and classical theory (CT) as special cases. Applying Hamilton’s principle and Galerkin method, the governing equation and corresponding boundary conditions are obtained and then solved numerically, respectively. The results illustrated effects of non-conservative parameter and different material gradient index on the natural frequencies of the system. “
