Forced convection heat transfer inside a wavy channel partially filled with a porous substrate is investigated. Finite volume method is utilized to simulate this problem numerically. The porous layer is mounted in two different positions (near the walls and at the core) inside the channel. The effects of both porous layer locations and amplitude of wavy walls on heat transfer characteristics are studied for Re=500 and Darcy number between 10-6-10-2. Results are verified against an exact solution which indicate the accuracy of the numerical investigation. The obtained results also indicate that the use of wavy walls when porous material is placed at the center of the channel enhances heat transfer more predominantly when compared with the case with porous material at the walls of the channel.
